Weekend Weirdness – Cutting Off Florida
Yes, Florida is a truly weird place. While this odd state is home, there are times when I want to do this to Florida:
I realize that this is a bit harsh (and includes generally innocent northern Florida), the social and political dysfunction of the sunshine state makes it sometimes completely incompatible with the rest of the country. Perhaps it’s perfect for me.
If you should find a middle-aged, bald, white dude lurking about the Florida borders while carrying a hand saw, pay him no mind… it’s just me feeling a lot like this frustrated Bugs Bunny.
I’m guessing that there’s a back story behind this post? Probably an interesting one, just sayin’
Lol. I read somewhere once that all the really strange news stories either come from Florida or Germany.
Though, I suppose up here we have our own Zombie story. Not surprising, they’re checking out a cold case in Florida that might be connected to him.
The German one is better.
A guy went asking on the Internet for someone willing to be eaten. Lots of takers, but in the end only one decided to bite.
Bernd Jürgen Brandes certainly gave Armin Meiwes a unique culinary experience.
YIKES!!! It makes you wonder about humanity sometimes.
The Wild Wild South
What’s up PM? Last we heard you had nine spinning plates. And Fla. has no income tax correct? You are definitely better off than millions in California.
But Florida is America’s Johnson! That’s Bobbitting!
The question then becomes would you stay in Florida adrift from the rest of the nation, or jump ship and stay on the continent? Please elaborate on what has happened to cause such angst.
Eh, with the Miami zombie attack, the ongoing Zimmerman bullshit, hurricane season, and the early arrival of the summer heat/humidity, this place is getting tiresome.
Please take your meds.
“- We’ve got a bad one.
– How bad?
– Florida.”

Oh, is this so true…
Maybe social dysfunction tends to cluster in geographically isolated areas that are poor in natural resources. These factors tend to breed widespread poverty, which in turn breeds dysfunction.
